Miami: Fun Highlights for a Good Time

The very name Miami invokes a vision of sun-drenched beaches, glittering nightlife and shiny, happy people. Miami is attractive to vacationers for many reasons, one of the most popular being the beautiful year around climate. This often sunny, most always pleasant part of South Florida draws visitors from around the country and around the world to sample the active fun and sun scene.

Miami’s busy scene specializes in action-packed vacation activities. There are nearly endless options for golf, tennis and many other sporting venues to choose from. In addition to the land sports, Miami is rich in water sport opportunities such as boating, fishing, diving, water skiing and so much more. Both inland venues and the ocean-side beaches offer plenty of fun and thrilling options for active, experience-oriented vacationers. While sunshine and outdoor sports do abound in Miami, there are also limit-less opportunities for party time excitement.

For fantastic dining, you merely have to pick from the amazing listings of restaurant options, depending on what you are in the mood for. Whatever your craving may be, it is likely to be found offered at some of the great venues in Miami. Emeril’s Miami Beach restaurant in South Beach offers the Food Network star chef’s indomitable and unforgettable Cajun cuisine. With quality every time, this restaurant is certainly one of the top notch venues in Miami. Joe’s Stone Crabs is another headlining restaurant in South Beach, Miami. In season from October 15th to May 15th, this place offers the delectable stone crabs as a feature ingredient and is a party waiting to happen.

Porcao is another South Beach venue offering spectacular food. In addition to the wide-ranging buffet, food is offered to you table side in the rodizio style where waiters roam around the restaurant bearing different meats for your enjoyment. The motto at this Brazilian steakhouse is ‘Vegetarians Beware’, letting customers know there is good meat and plenty of it at this restaurant.

Venturing away from South Beach can bring your party to Area 31, a unique seafood eatery that gets its name and a big part of its menu from Fishing Area 31, which is a sustainable section of the Atlantic Ocean that includes the coastal waters of Florida. This one-of-a-kind restaurant is located away from the high traffic area of South Beach over on Biscayne Boulevard. You will find this off-the-beaten path seafood place inside Miami’s new Epic hotel up on the 16th floor.

Miami has a glittery all hours nightlife that includes myriad nightclubs and bar scenes where there is surely to be something for everyone. The renowned Wet Willie’s bar on Ocean Drive boasts a signature drink named ‘The Call a Cab’ as a headliner of the many sweet and potent fruity drinks offered to customers. With a full roster of $10 drinks in all kinds of fruity liquor mixtures, Wet Willie’s is a popular bar among locals and visitors alike.

By contrast, on Washington Avenue right in South Beach is a bar called Playwright Irish Pub and Restaurant that is one of the few bona fide, authentic Irish pubs in Miami. With free-flowing Guinness and a bar that is a piece of artwork from Ireland itself, this pub displays photos of well-known Irish poets and authors such as James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, just to name a couple.

There is no place in the world quite like this southernmost resort city of the United States. While full of different venues for every kind of party you could imagine, Miami’s mostly sunny and mild weather keeps this seaside port city a star on the map of vacation destinations worldwide.
